Description

Surface Rhythms is the MFA thesis exhibition of Mariom Manjury Nishe, a painting graduate student at the University of South Dakota. The exhibition presents abstract artworks that explore emotion, rhythm, memory, and movement through color, layered surfaces, and shaped forms. The artworks combine painting, sculptural surfaces, and mixed materials such as wood, foam board, and cardboard. The project reflects the artist’s research, studio practice, and teaching experience during her MFA studies. The exhibition invites viewers to experience abstraction through color relationships, texture, and spatial interaction.
