During the Kick-Off celebration of the Summer Reading Program, we will be hosting the LEGO Guy! Kids of all ages are invited to this event in the Kozak Room. Curtis Mork, AKA the LEGO Guy, will start off by telling kids about how LEGO began and a little history behind it. Then he will move on to the building portion where kids get about 30 minutes to come up with a creation! The LEGO Guy will be bringing a couple dozen sets from his personal collection to show off! This year he is planning on bringing spacey LEGO creations to keep with the theme of The Universe of Stories. We ask that children under the age of 7 come accompanied by an adult. Curtis Mork has been a LEGO fan since age 6. He has over 12 years of experience working with libraries in 8 states. His programs feature fun and interactive exhibits, presentations, and creative workshops for children to get involved. He owns the largest LEGO collection in the state of Colorado (over 620 sets, mostly Star Wars and LEGO city). He works with children of all ages including senior citizens, and has been featured in many publications.
