Description
Prairie maintenance and Spirit Mound. Although we often associate tree planting with Earth Day, this Earth Days event is focused on removing young trees from the Spirit Mound prairie. Prairies are a type of grassland and in order to remain as grassland, the trees must be removed. During this Earth Days event we will be helping with one of the ongoing management activities at Spirit Mound, cutting down young trees.
