Art Story Time

We offer story time for toddlers and preschoolers. Movement Story Time is for birth & up, while Art Story Time is for four-year-olds & up. Children are introduced to language and literature through stories, songs, sensory activities, and art-making. The programs last 25-30 minutes and are offered at various times each week. Registration is required for each session. Fall, Winter/Spring, and Summer sessions are available.

Story Time sessions are limited in size, so parents must register their child for their preference each season. Stop in, call, or visit our website to view our Story Time schedule and to register your child.

Art Story Time Program Guidelines

For many children this will be their first group experience without a parent. To make it a happy one, we ask your cooperation and assistance in the following ways:

•Please arrive early, allowing time for removing sweaters or coats, checking in, and getting comfortable. Please keep coats and personal items with you rather than having the child bring things into the Activity Room. No toys, please. •Prepare your child for going into Story Time without you. Reassure him/her that you will remain in the library. If leaving you is a special problem, feel free to stay with your child or speak with the Youth Librarian about your concerns. •A typical program lasts 25-30 minutes and includes a story and a creative activity. Please greet your child promptly as Story Time ends. •Please assist your child in following the library rules of keeping voices quiet, picking up toys and puzzles, and caring for books.  Every Monday until November 27.
