Art Story Time

Description

Children 4 and up, or 3 years old with an adult, hear a story and make art that relates to the story. The language of the Principles and Elements of Art are emphasized. Artists are introduced as a form of history. Children experiment with various media while making art! For many children this will be their first group experience without a parent. To make it a happy one, we ask your cooperation and assistance in preparing your child for going into Story Time without you. Reassure him/her that you will remain in the library. If separation is a special problem for you, feel free to stay or speak with the Youth Librarian about your concerns. Please keep coats and personal items with you rather than having the child bring things into the room. No toys, please. Greet your child promptly as Story Time ends.
